I got a decent sized Black Powder force in 28mm which are also used for Sharp Practice.
I actually like BP but it needs a blooming big table to get a game that feels right.
I absolutely love DBN due to feel and size of the games and cos I think DBA is pretty much the best game ever.
DBN has similar feel to DBA but because units are slowly worn down it has enough about it to feel different. I fully intend to do BP and Blucher in 6mm eventually. Given my painting rate eventually may be quite a while. Took me ages to get to my 350 point Impetus goal, still have loads of 6mm EAP to do, went a bit mental with Rapier miniatures.
Think the DBN 12 point game is supposed to be a Corps level thing, TBH my knowledge of Nap structures is like the figs I am painting, pretty small.
I know you can keep adding 12 more points so 24 is a pretty big game and 36 is massive.
I am going to do a series of 12 point forces to get started, really want to do matching French as well.
DBN
Re: DBN
Finally getting there with the cav, ink drying now for the highlights which for me is more about covering up mistakes and neatening up the figs.
Dragoons, hussars and cossacks then the command stand.
Once finished and based it will be the first little force done.
When my French arrive I am going to do a matched force.
Then got shed loads more to do.
This yar is wholly about finishing stuff my sponsor at Gaming Anonymous says it is an important step go my eventual rehabilitation.

Re: DBN
Rather stupidly i used ink on my bases rather than wash that I usedor theinf so they are clearly different looking.
Will re do bases eventually but not till I have a few games next week.
Got some Hinds and frog foots to do for Northag then Pikes for various armies, got like 16 DBA stands worth to do.

Re: DBN
how many models are you sticking to a base?
thinking infantry via Baccus is 20mm wide strips, usually for three strips wide (60mm) and two ranks - down to two strips wide for 40mm for DBx style basing
cavalry probably being six models per base and artillery likely two guns on a base as I suspect just one will end up looking a bit lost.
what does a basic Froggy force look like and what sort of period as being considered (guessing 1806 - 1812?)
