BTH

Post by Baldie »

Few shots of a game of BTH me and Andy played in my garden.

Going to do a full report on it as well.

Safety and hydration were considered

My ace shot down two of the Japanese planes

Before the Japanese ace went on to destroy two of mine and caused the third pilot to bail out, the pilot managed to bail out, managed to get his chute to open just in time to land on a Japanese naval base where the troops had just seen him kill two of their comrades.

I am sure he was well treated for the remainder of the war

I so need to play more of this, and get the small flights of German bombers I have on the board (heck the B-17 flight and Lancasters as well, plus some proxy stats for Wellingtons - how on earth did they miss the Wellington out?)

I have the very simple tumbling dice rules as well, which the scenario system could be pinched from for BTH easily.

basically you need to shoot down or drive off a number of "points" of the enemy, based on how many "points" you have, so the more you bring, the more of the enemy you need to hurt, but bring too many and the enemy may not have enough for you to win even if you wipe them all but they may only have to drop a few of yours..

have a 1982 version of that as well "Skyhawks over San Carlos" that looks fun

Still got loads of these to paint up and got the Japanese and American decals to put on em.
Got some new flight stands as well as I never liked those domed GW style flight stands.

Mick did me some with a height arrow and the bases are flat boxes so you can put the ammo dice on em as well. The plastic rods can be cut to different sizes as well so a flight can be at slightly different heights to make em easier to sit next to each other.

Jeyzzzz do non of my projects ever get finished.

I just went with 1" squares of 1mm plastic sheet, some self adhesive magnet stuff under and a dress making pin through the middle, dirt cheap

just some stuff on electronics, only two videos, not likely to be any more as my new contract of employment prohibits me making such things
