Speed Trap...

Following a discussion elsewhere, and while waiting for some bits to arrive, I've started work on a speed trap - suitable for analogue or digital racing
so far the sensors for the entry line are built and in place, tested and working, hope to get the others done tomorrow - need a replacement for the control chip as its got a few blow outputs but the input side is working so can test and write to the laptop until I get a simple display added (speed readout for each of the two lanes in analogue, or the fastest two cars in digital)
designed to be easy to add to a circuit, just needs a half straight to swap to, in analogue will need a power feed but in digital should be able to drive from the power in the track.
so soon not only will I know how fast I'm going, but how much slower than anything Dave's driving...
