So...

I appear to have ordered the beginnings of a 100 years war French army, for MeG initially but likely to get a bit bigger with something for expanding to DBA as well.

as you do

Well yes, Dave said he fancied the English so I figured it made sense to do the other side

Almost my Bretonnians but in 15mm

Well these have arrived, as Dave found the numbers on the box underestimate the contents, a bit like PSC under estimated the packaging required given the mangle mess of a box that arrived having been crushed at some point.

models appear to have arrived, and with a few spares looks like I can assemble

1x overall commander, 3 knights on a base
3x sub commanders, single knights on a base

6x groups of 3 knights, enough for three units
8x groups of 4 foot knights, enough for four units
4x groups of 4 spearmen, enough for two units
6x groups of 3 crossbows, enough for three units
4x groups of 2 crossbow skirmishers, enough for two units

not totalled the points but seems a decent lot to start with

have now spent a bit of time cleaning these models up, the do look nice casts, but I'm never buying anything in this god awful "ultracast" stuff again, its not "finecast" bad (nothing can be) but its horrible to work with, not masses of flash but what there is is awkward to clean up compared to running a sharp blade over it with metal (or indeed hard styrene), and some of the flash is obviously from damaged moulds.

will get the army up and running but everything that gets added will be metal from another company

horrible stuff

crossbows assembled, yup, I hate this stuff, have had metal two part crossbowmen for my Normans, similar pose, simiolar construction, way easier to build as the flipping arms don't flipping well keep bending
