100 years war...
Re: 100 years war...
managed to get a list of whats in the box..., PACTO is 3,500 points, the box has 4,566 in it.. ouch, but scope to drop stuff obviously
Re: 100 years war...
Is there enough to do a Meg with spare for DBA/Lart or do the units match up anyway.
Going to be great seeing your two armies done up facing each other.

Re: 100 years war...
you don't have the variety for a DBA force, once these are done I'll likely get a suitable DBA foce and a few extra bits so to have that option as well as some of the other units the MeG lot can take
Re: 100 years war...
Basic heraldry on half the knights now done, may add a few bits to them when the rest is done, will see how it goes - deadline means they need to hit the table on Saturday.
still no sign of a 40mm MDF round base though so my overall general may be stuck down with blutac

Re: 100 years war...
first outings with the 100YW French, the first being the expected utter pasting as not used to the army and still learning the rules.
the second a lot more interesting and a lot closer, wood towards the centre meant Dave's English had what amounted to a near perfect defence, one block behind the wood to the rear edge and two more blocks across the front - barricades totally covering their front.. ouch
all except that wood, the dice gods (for once) smiled as the French cavalry attacked through the wood and managed to break through, nearly crippling the English before casualties finally caused the French to break.
a defeat but learnt quite a bit, as with many historical games before WW1 shooting is a lot less dangerous than melee, my crossbowmen didn't manage much except to die, they certainly are pants fighting up close, even against other archers, so may downgrade them somewhat to save points. Also need perhaps more cavalry or less and more foot knights, the current three units of cavalry being a bit too expensive for not enough actual results.
Still fun and it looked amazing
