Battlegroup

Post by Baldie »

Just stuck a 350 point list together for Battlegroup Kursk
Not actually got any German inf painted so they are in their best night attack black and silver.
Def need to get some done at some point.

Looking forward to it if I can just remember the rules bit.

I think you also got a copy on PDF and sent it me so you may have it. I ended up getting the full kursk and rules book but they do em separately now. Think the only change is something to do with spotting a sniper

Found a few Germans yesterday on pennies so started a bit of basing, not amazed by my painting skills but not bad enough to redo.
Whilst sand was drying I found a bag or three of Russians unpainted and stuck them to pennies, needless to say considerably more of them than the Germans.

I have drawers full of stuff I genuinely have no idea about.

Still got loads of FOW based Russians to paint so heck knows why I had these as well.

Got sufficient for BG, COC etc in 15mm now as well.

More painting to do but at least Russians are mainly Khaki.

To be fair Ze Germans were already painted, badly, so there was not much to do but based em last night.
I must have based these for BA as there are two full squads of AR guys.

I need to get maybe a platoon more so I can play COC, I still prefer 28mm for COC but a few peeps in Sheff play in 15mm and I must admit it looks right on a 6x4 table like Kursk.

Yes obs the sensible option is to just use a FOW base and mark off casualties but wargaming!

This may have actually spured me on to get a FOW German force actually done, I got an EW Greatcoat company and a MW/LW Sturm company and loads of tanks that need painting so all this really means is that I am scared to start the Macedonian pike blocks.
